I WANT THE GASSER IN IT!... i did want a ys110 and still do... what prop to put on the ys110 (someone said one that made 15lbs static)... plz try the gasser and tell me how you like it... or build it and ship to me
My YS 1.10FZ on my FT90 is extemely strong!! It amazes me everytime I fly it. My FT90 RTF (without fuel) weighs 8.62 lbs. My YS 1.10FZ spins a APC 16x4 @ 10,300. According to Thrusthp calculations, this is producing 20.86 static thrust lb. I have bought a APC 16x6 to get the RPM down some, but I haven't installed the prop yet (Rainy weather). The 16x4 was used to break in the engine also. This engine/prop combo hovers the FT90 at 1/2 throttle or a little less. Vertical pull is very good @ 2 - 3 clicks above 1/2 throttle. Not sure if I have a stronger than normal motor, but the performance is mind blowing. Vertically unchallanged now, so the 16x6 should improve the vertical pull out even more.
The YS 1.10FZ will probably be a little stronger than the OS 1.20. The YS has been compared to the Saito 150. Don't get too caught up in HP numbers. HP ratings doesn't mean too much in this hobby. HP sells cars, Torque wins races. The 1.10FZ has a ton of torque for it's size. For the sake of numbers. Let's look, The YS 1.10FZ has 2.2hp, the Saito 120 has 2.2hp and the Saito 1.50 has 2.5hp but the YS will run rings around the Saito 120 and does compete with the Saito 150 although the 150 has a higher hp rating. The YS engine is a true performance engine such as a Porsche or any high performance vehicle. The YS even has different shape intake (larger) and exhaust valves where most RC engines have the same size valves for both. A YS currently is the strongest in it's class.
