Dave, thanks for answering my first question.
I have another, the new sport version of the Y.S.140! how will this differ from the DZ version. I am looking for the 140 with the most power for some of my larger models.
I have been told the Y.S.140 also develops more H/P than the Saito 180
is this true?
Also do you know if Y.S. has any future plans for a twin!!!
I was looking at the new Saito 200 V-Twin, and the thought occured to me! If Y.S. had a 280 2x140's Now that would be an awesome engine... : )
Cheers-
The YS Sport is the typical YS engine, regulated pressure fuel delivery, essentially the same type of engine as the 140FZ and 140L were.
The DZ is a different animal utilizing direct injection into the cylinder right behind the intake valve. The system is a true fuel pump and does not utilize pressure delivery from the tank.
If you want the ultimate in power the DZ is the only way to go.
The 140L was slightly more powerful than a Saito 180 and the DZ is far more powerful than either of those engines, the DZ will compare with the OS 140RX, Webra 145R, OS 160's 2-strokers. I have had my DZ spin a 16x12 at 9100 rpm....and a 16.5x12W at 8500....
