Behind the landing gear leaves a lot of area to play with on a TD
I searched Google and a few other engines, but couldn't find any tech data on the Tipo, Great Planes or otherwise. I did find a picture of a plane with a belly pan (missing) that I guy called a Tipo, but it most certainly was not
You might want to see if you can find someone from NSRCA.ORG who still has one in flying condition who can check their CG for you. Or, you might call Great Planes (try Ann Marie) to see if someone doesn't have a set of plans stuck up on a wall somewhere. Worse case, figure 30-33% of the mean chord and start there with caution. As long as you are close to the high point of the wing, you should be pretty safe.
