I usually balance by suspending the model fore and aft and then plumb bobbing the C.G.......from a practical standpoint, it is easier to mark the C.G. on the fuse.....the mark on the wings is convenient if you just want to pick the plane up with a finger and see which way the nose tips.....both marks are co-incident, so it's a fielder's choice....
C.G. is close to the mains......if you pop off the canopy, Hotspots will readily sit down on their tails with just a tap on the nose.....
