Default Perry Pumps saving engine quits

I bought a perry pump V-30 for a Supertigre .75 because someone recommended it in order to save my warbird in case of an engine quit in midair.
I want to know if I should connect the muffler pressure tap to the tank as in any engine or if it is not necessary?
I read in another thread that I should install a tee fitting between the pump and the carburetor and send this extra tube line back into the tank. The instructions do not say anything about this.
Thanks for any Help.
