Default Applying hinge gap sealing tape

I would try the old Windex trick. But since I am not familiar with the characteristics of Scotch # 845, I would try this on a piece of scrap first. Spray the gap with Windex (or soapy water). put the tape in place and squeegee out the excess water/air bubbles. Let it sit for 24 hrs and it's ready.

As I said, find something with covering on it to test it out first. If it works, use it on the hinge gap.
