I find the safest place to be when the DS speeds get that high is home.
These things disintegrate under the loads, with the parts flying all over the place.
It is NOT something to be done with non-flying spectators in the area.
It's awesome to see a hand-launched, and sometimes hand-retrieved glider get to those enormous speeds with no power other than nature's own and flying skill.
