Blue, a little Great Planes Milled Fiberglass mixed into your epoxy is also a good alternative.
Re vibrations. All turbines have what is knows a "Critical Speed" range. Swampy is right in that you must get them through it as quickly as possible, though it sounds like the end cap on yours is out of wack.
