The only flaw with your proposal is, "Back in the day, he was a champion pattern flyer and who knows you might find that you really like him."
That is the problem. Those that know DB and place such knowing ahead of objective need for AMA, will succumb to the friendly approach he presents. I predict all that know him well will not help but like him. As much as I fault him with AMA, I cannot help but like him as a person.
As a person, Dave is really one _ell of a fine fellow. He just has a destination 180° opposed to what I see as where AMA should be heading.
My own personal desires also conflict with my perceived AMA target objective , yet I believe that objectives must overshadow personal wants. Therefore I cannot follow what I perceive as where DB wants to lead AMA.
Anyway, you're saying it very well. Yet DB does have some 15,000+ non-objective friends. [:@]
