Hi
First layers of cloth are down on the underside of the wing. Went with 24hr finishing resin.
The cloth is all 1.8oz, laid out in the following :-
WING
4" centre section over wing joint
Next section out past the retracts
Final section across the whole wing.
HOR STAB
2" centre section
Final section covering all the stab
I'll repeat this on the top side with both wing and stab.
I found it very theraputic actually, first time proper glassing, and I really enjoyed it, cloth lays down beautifully and I should get a really nice finish. What I did do is handle the cloth with a pair of latex rubber gloves, this seemed to charge it, and it literally stuck to the wing
You can still see the weave, whats the best way to finish, I would rather not add another coat of epoxy, would filler primer do the job ?? My main concern is adding more weight, I'm guessing the primer is lighter ??
Rub down tomorrow and glass the top side.
