Default RE: Looking for the "right" electric ship

Possibilities are endless....

Do you want a built-up wing ? sheeted foam? all molded ?
First of all, I would recommend going bigger than 2m, at least 3m.
The bigger ships are much more tolerant to the increased weight that comes witht the electric drive, it's easier to install all the stuff in the fuse, and, last, not least, they are easier to see at altitude.....
I have a 4m all molded Thermik XL from Valenta Models, e-powered, and it thermals really well.

I you want a built-up wing, check the XL3200 from [link=http://www.espritmodel.com]Esprit Models[/link] : [link=http://www.espritmodel.com/sailplane_elec_xl3200.html]XL3200[/link]
For a sailplane with sheeted foam wings, check the [link=http://www.espritmodel.com/l_thermik_dream.html]Thermik Dream[/link] , also from Esprit Models.
