Get a simulator... I taught myself to fly Heli on one on my own.
Without some sim time I'm afraid your plane wont last long.

The plane doesnt need to be going too fast on the ground before the rudder will become effective. The prop blast going over the tail will help maybe 15mph or so..

Not sure on the CG but the thickest part of the wing is a decent starting point...
