Default RE: G3-how do you set up to see runway at all times?

on g2 I setup a second window view that I keep in the upper left or right of the screen. That window has a closeup view of the model (maybe 30 ft. away??). The main window is set to view ground at all times and the auto zoom is set to take over at much farther distance. In the main view the plane will be very, very small, but the closeup window is there at all times to see a closeup orientation of the plane. I use this for practicing pattern and it works o.k. if I use a sky that has a gradient as it approaches the ground. THis helps with altitude orientation. I also keep the navguides in one corner that display heading and "y" position (position out from the runway). After some practice I began to use the rudder like you are supposed to...nearly all the time to maintain heading.

just my 2 cents...
