Are the plugs those big white tamiya ones? if so then theres your answer. The tamiya style plugs suck (in my opinion )

Put some deans connectors on it, they'll solve your problem.


As for the batts., you can try cycling them, but if they havent been used in a long time, then they are probobly toast and will need replaced.
