I like the Hitec line of receivers. Their electron 6 is small, light and rock solid. 6 channels. If you need it ot fit in a very tight space or need to shed some weight, you can take the case off and shrink wrap it.

Berg and the FMA Direct receivers also get very good remarks all the time.
