With the collective pitch adapter, your motor runs at a constant speed and the throttle channel changes the pitch + or - from the neutral center position. This should have some great benefits for reducing torque as the motor spins up since it is kept at a constant speed by the ESC.

Keep in mind that this new adapter will also require a computer radio and ESC that has a heli mode.
