Default Prop For an OS 1.60

Decibels measure noise not performance. Mejzlik's have been optimized to reduce noise. They are probably the quietest prop available. That does not mean they are the best prop. I can test a group of props for static thrust but the one with the highest thrust won't necessarily be the quietest or the best performing. This performance is also based in "feel". If you were to time a climb from hover to a gain of say 20 feet, the APC 18-6W will win out over most other props but it's spool up time is terrible and you will have a much tougher time holding altitude in a hover because of the spoolup lag.
On my GP Giles, I guarantee that the plane will perform better on the Mejzlik 18-6 or the MA scimitar or the Pro-Zinger 18-6 than any of those brands 18-8s. I have tried all but the mejzlik 18-8. A 19-6 or a 20-6 may be better than any of the 18"ers. I haven't had time to try them plus I have too many of these 18" props already.
