Default RE: Be extremely careful!!!!!

First article I ever read about CA was in a 1959 Model Railroader magazine. The product was Kodak 910 Slide Mount adhesive. It was the first comercially available CA family glue. One of those little 2 gram metal tubes cost about $9.00, which was big bucks back then.
The first tube of CA I ever obtained was a tube of a Liquid Bandage type product that was thrown out in some trash. That was about 1962 or 1963. These products were not useable with wood or paper or other porous materials. I never had much sucssess with the Crazy Glue that was sold through TV advertising.
Sometime in the 80s one of the Engineering magazines I get was talking about the excellent results a research group was having treating bleeding ulcers by piping down small amounts of a CA type adhesive to the site of the ulcer.
Most of the alergic reactions to CA I have read about are of a respiratory nature-from breathing the fumes. I have been burnt when I've dropped a bit of CA on sweaty exposed skin. One burn on my foot left a small crater that took several weeks to comepletely heal.
The Epoxy reactions are from skin contact. The resins and to a higher degree the catalysts for epoxy can very easily cause skin reactions in even mildly sensitive people. Polyester resins and catalysts seem to be even worse.
