RE: Yellow A4 Skyhawk MW44 Flies!
Well John, its no A10 but its fun to have something that I can throw around like a sport plane. Here are some more pics of todays three flights. We had a ball! Tried a touchdown with brakes on which worked great except you have to be carefull to get off them at a pretty decent speed. Takes off and lands at at a crawl. Buddy Red says I should raise each aileron a hair to improve low speed handling. I moved the motor back about 1/2 inch to get rid of the elevator I am carrying for nose heavy condition. Overall it justs gets more fun every time I take off. I recommend this combo for smooth surfaces over 300'. The takpff run is about 150' with T/O flaps and its a pretty shallow climb untill cleaned up. Its VERY scale in the way it takes off. It does seem to land quite flat. I wish this airfoil was of a better design for the scale appearance, handling and wing outline(SMALLER). I understand the JHH A4 is a bit more scale in its emmpenage width. The more stuff I hang underneath it the better it looks though.
Good Jet.
