The RCM Trainer is an excellent plane for a first selection. The Global ARF item is the one I've had experience with, and the student still has it, long after he solo'd and started flying low wing planes. I think he will keep it until his space requirements exceed the sentimental value of the plane. It served him well, and as the instructor, I can verify.
