Although I have never built the JHH Phantom, I understand that the YA version is easier to build, but the JHH is much more scale. For example, the 'E' nose on the Yellow is a little too short to be true to scale. Also, the JHH has scale control surfaces (LE flaps), whereas the Yellow has conventional ailerons/flaps, if you wish.
All boils down to what you prefer......more scale or ease of building.
This is my second YA F-4 (one of MANY Yellow kits I have built), and personally, since I am familiar with Yellows construction philosiphy, prefer them.

Again, personal choice.
