I built a jaguar a couple of years ago. It was my first scratch built jet. Construction was easy as it is three boxes strung together. The only changes made to it was the inlets. I increased the size slightly but you couldn't tell. I didn't have retracts on it but it did have flaps and a full moving stabs. One of the best looking airplanes I've ever made.
I chose the o.s 65 and the dynamac for power. But when I finished, I realize it would be too heavy for flight. I used 1/4 inch balsa on just about everything which made it a tad heavy. I believed it would fly but doubt made me a coward. At least I still have the photos of the bird. One day I will build another and make it truly scale. (With the retracts!)
