I bashed one of my 4*'s by forgoing the turtle deck completely. Instead, I put 1/4" Square stock on the top-inside of the rear fuse, then sheeted the top, and used a "Kaos" type canopy.

As far as building the nose, go to greatplanes.com and download the Ultra Sport manual and see how they did it on that. It should work for the 4* as well.
