Another vote for the WM P-51. I have an OS 61 FX in mine and it is a blast to fly. I have also flown it with Saito 65 and Saito 91. The 65 made for a nice realistic flying plane, the 61 FX and Saito 91 turn it into a rocket ship. It is definitely one of my favorites. The only drawback it has is the amount of dihedral and roll coupling. It will hold knife edge with a lot of opposite aileron. Other than that it is a well behaved plane that will fly with a portion of the wing missing. Retracts come with the plane, hook up a rectract servo and then have fun.
