I do think it depends on the type of flying you plan to do. I have a Brison 2.4 in a Giles ARF and I have had people who have flown it say it flys rock solid, but it sucks at 3D.

I have flown the Lanier Edge with a OS160 and RCS 1.4. Both engines fly the plane great, but the OS does allow you to do some weird stuff due to the power available.
