You now have answers to your post. I HAVE A LANIER EDGE 540T 120 ON THE WAY IN MAIL AND I WAS GOING TO PUT A RCS 180 IN IT.IS THIS A GOOD CHOICE OR SHOULD I GO WITH SOMETHING ELSE??!! I WANT GAS BUT IS THAT A BAD CHOICE.PLEASE HELP!

I have a Giles with the OS 1.60 and a friend has an Edge with the YS 1.40 // I test flew the Edge and have a few flights on the Giles. The Giles has better vertical performance. The Edge owner is considering changing to gas for better vertical. The ZDZ from RC Showcase is being considered in the 40cc range however there is a new 50cc now with little increase in weight or cost now also being considered.

The size is the transition from glow to gas power. There is some overlap and difference of opinions. You won't see gas on a Pizazz or glow in a 40% Extra. I still believe the original choice you asked about is a good one. Would it give unlimited vertical or really do great 3D? Probably not.

The choice is yours to make for the style and type of flying you wish to do.
