I haven't tried XTR yet, but I do own AFPD.... I will tell you this.... It was obviously intended much more for fixed wing pilots than rotary wing ones... The planes fly fantastic right out of the box.... The heli's are terrible right out of the box.... It's nothing wrong with the sim... It's the setup of the heli's themselves.. I spent two days trying to get a raptor tweaked to fly like the real thing... I've got it now, and have it available for download (see http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Down...2467959/tm.htm I honestly have to wonder if the programmers actually ever flew a heli... Anyway, once you get the setup right, since the physics engine is so good, it flies pretty nice...

Bottom line, I don't think you'd go wrong with either XTR or AFPD... I'm actually trying to decide rather to use some xmas money to add XTR to go with AFPD, or spend it on a little micro to chase the dog around the house with when the weather is too bad for the nitro...
