But to answer your question, the Violator is a pretty decent newbie car. I had one, but the only thing I didn't care too much for was the kingpin frontend. I ended up narrowing the width of the buggy and going with the pivotball front end. I basically turn it into a normal 9.5. I strongly suggest buying a used buggy off eeebbbaaayyy. I have a buddy that bought a Kanai II RTR for $325, and he's kicking my but on the track.
