I put larger wheels on mine and the ground handling is much better. The larger wheels also make it easier to see in the air as it can be confusing with a similar pattern on top and bottom of the wing.
The plane is very sensitive to the ailerons and I would turn down the throws to minimum to start, especially for a beginner :-)
