Default RE: which is best

If you have a LHS that stocks heli parts that is a big deciding factor. I don't automatically go along with "buy what everyone else flies". First of all, what they're flying may not be the best choice for you, e.g. if they all fly Fury Extremes. Not a good choice for a beginner. Second, if they ARE experts, they'll be able to help you out no matter what you're flying and if they can't they're not much of an expert. If your LHS handles Raptors then by all means get a Raptor. From everything I've heard, they're good machines. I personally fly the Evo 50 and believe it is one of the best machines out there. The control system is extremely good, virtually slop free. I found it to be very easy to build and set up and very durable. It's also a better choice than the Raptor if you plan to move into scale later on as the Raptors don't lend themselves well to scale fuselages, mainly due to the CP linkage. That's the main reason I choose the Evo.

In my case it didn't matter what I got, my LHS doesn't stock anything in the way of parts so I have to order what I need anyway. Bottom line is, all of the popular heli's fly well and anything current will have good parts support.

P.S. My second heli was a C30
