Jim,
I like to mount the Tensor battery on the side of the fuselage near to where the instructions indicate. If I could get it higher it would be better but it's more important to get the horizontal CG right than the vertical on this model. The reason for this is that the horizontal CG serves two purposes now...it's a CG for both pitch and yaw because of the SFG's

You won't need any right thrust on this airplane because of the sub-rudder area. The spiral slipstream effects on this airplane are undetectable. For a better explanation read this months 3-D flyer article.

If the vertical CG ends up low for whatever reason you may want some up thrust. I like to mount everything as high as possible or completely omit the landing gear to get the CG right on the thrust line. The roll coupling is most neutral this way as well.
