The inlets - taken to absurdity - act as ducted fans inlets.
Again to the absurd point - if enough air was pulled -there would be a large low pressure region which would lift the model upward.
Also what goes in must come out -so IF you had enough air being gathered from above AND enough thrust from the jet exhaust and the fans - - nothing else would matter ---
Certianly a interesting project you have -- I would do it with electric motors -being lazy as I am .
Drag racing turbos - sounds like Honda stuff.
