I have found that over 18x6 depending on the prop type can be just much for the engine with a can muffler. But that was on a 12.5 lb Hangar 9 Cap too so the size of aircraft may make a big diff also. With a tuned pipe ....well Hall Yes!!!!
I have three different props to try:
17x6 wood Zinger
18x6 wood Zinger
18x8W APC I think this might be to much prop but i have it ti o try so we shall see.

BTW the engine can pull an 18x10 prop!
