I lost a 4* 60 with identical symptoms. It done the exact same thing as yours just before the ailerons locked into full throw position and it rolled over and went in. Post crash revealed the servo extension connector inside the wing had a bad connection. Since I was using a Y harness it affected both ailerons causing them to lock into one position.
