Default RE: New 81" GP Super Chipmunk

captG,

Thanks. It was blowing straight across our field today, 10 to 30 mph. I'm using a 17X6 on my Enya 1.55. The speed seems about right. It will still fly faster than scale with this prop at full throttle. At three hundred feet above sea level I have to pull back as soon as the plane goes vertical to slow it down for a hammerhead just kicking the throttle at the top to get some air over the rudder. We took some video of the flights, my flying wasn't too pretty but no mishaps either. The Enya is really running well with the cline regulator and a YS check valve. I don't bother trying to hand start it the first time anymore. I just start it like a YS with a starter to pressurize the tank and it lights off.

I need to adjust my rates and expo. The snaps even on low rate were violent. This is going to be one of my favorates
