Default FPE 1.3 information and help

Ok, I'm getting ready to install my first gasser in my Goldberg Pitts M12 ARf. Great plane and I don't want to screw it up.

I purchased a first place engine 1.3 almost a year ago waiting on the perfect plane. However, now that I'm getting close to installing it I'm having a lot of questions.

First of all, I noticed that my walboro carb looks nothing like the one on their website. I've sent them an e-mail but knew one of you would know incase they don't get back with me. In the first pic, you see a yellow tube coming from an inlet in the carb. This is not the fuel feed because that is the black nozzle on top. What is this and what is it for? My carb doesn't have this.

Also, how do you choke a FPE engine since it doesn't have a carb? Velocity stack? Which one and how do you know if it fits? Since the cowl is so big (almost 9" in diameter) what happens if a velocity stack doesn't get the outside the cowl?

Also, what is everyone's opinion on removing the spring off the throttle assembly?

Any other help or info would be greatly appreciated.
