My bee is @3lbs 2oz. Also built with the dual shock plan.
I replaced 85 percent of the balsa spars with basswood. Tons of reinforcing done. Wing pins are 1/4" and glassed in. 3 Giant scale hinges for rudder.
The real reason for the .25 (other then unlimited vert) is very thin air @10,000ft. High alpine Colorado runway.
She probably won't maidan till spring.
Im very happy with the wieght considering the motor, shocks, 1 standard on bells.
I really liked the build, and think Bee's have a special look to them. I plan on trying to get a StaggerBee next.
