I installed my tank so that it's centerline is inline with the carb. That way you get a more consistent fuel draw.

To line up the elevator halves, I used popsicle sticks. I taped one one the bottom of the h-stab and one on top, overlapping the elevator. I did both side at the same time to ensure that the elevators are lined up. Then I adjusted the clevis until it lined up.
