I've use all kinds of servos from Hitec, Futaba, and JR and have not had any problems other than the really tiny micro servos (all brands). I have literally used and still using around 50-60 Hitec servos like the 5945's, 5645, 5735, 645, 425, 5125, 225MG, 85MG etc. and not had a single problem.

This is not to say that no one has a problem or they are 100% reliable - Just my experiences. I've also used 8611, 8411, 7121, 4721, 3321, 3021 and others that I can't think of and no problems either.

Hitec, service is as good as any if not better and you can't beat the programability option.
