Default RE: KMP attached retracts good?

I received ESM(KMP) P-47 today.
The retract looks the same as KMP 2004 version, although
the color of the air tube is different. The air tube seems a bit
coarse. The retract itself looks solid and there's no free play.
The retract angle is 90 deg, so I will shim the mount to
make up for the dihedral angle. The gear well has enough
depth to do it. The front left is the speed controller.
Since the 5.0mm(a bit thicker than 3/16" ) piano wire strut
seems durable enough for this airplane, I would try this
retract at present. The tires came with is so tiny(less than
3" ), that I would repalce them with 3 1/4".
