Default RE: Chip Hyde's Vision 3D

I bought my DA used and it came with the 3-1/4" stand-offs. I like to use them because they don't require a hole in the firewall for the carb. So really I haven't moved the engine placement very much. I know that I said I was going to cut off 2", but after laying the engine out on the fuse with the stand-offs, I realized I only needed to remove 1-3/4".

I weighed the plane with everything, spinner, 24-8 Menz, cowl, switch's etc, came in at 15lb 13 oz. Yes, I was kind of surprised also, because after following the thread and your comments I was hoping for 15 lbs max. Attached photos, if they work, show the cut off, and the replacement firewall, that was an easy mod. I'm interested to hear how your's weighs out.
