RE: GP Piper Cub Question
I have one. The covering takes a bit to get used to, for me anyway as it's my first fabric plane. The covering came in perfect shape out of the box. but after the construction process it loosened up a lot. I used my heat gun and shrinked it up again. Two days later it was even worse than before. I think I need to use an iron on the seams and hopefully that should do the trick. My opinion of this plane is positive thus far. I've only flown it only once for its maiden flight. It flys nice and slow and lands even slower. Taking off is a bit tricky, just don't go to full throttle instantly off the line and you should be ok. It does like to get kicked around by the wind so be cautious of that. I didn't the foams wheels that it came with stock, so I quickly upgraded them to rubber. I also didn't like how the landing gear wire and braces were designed. The braces are attached to the gear wire with a rubber band. I didn't like that at all and did my own modifications to it by using simple clamps and screws. It worked perfect.
Good luck.
