Peter... I can't recall what mine weighed (past tense) but it had no lead at all in the nose. Probably around the 6 lb range. Knowing what I know now, I would probably go for a ringed engine, or something larger - like a 53... The TT over heated something fierce if any time was wasted on the ground...it needed the cooling air blowing over it.

It flew great - it looked really, really cool in the air! ... and it landed quite slowly...I really didn't miss the rudders (more weight) but I would have liked to have had retracts on it....

As for the reference to the past tense, my son took it flying one day, and the aileron ball joint popped off. It rolled inverted right after takeoff and augered in. The wing survives, and will surface in a new project at some time in the future.
