I have
I have the Hangar 9 Edge 540, and am also putting a Dave Patrick 330L together. The Edge is lots of fun, and I've heard the DP is great for 3D.
Unless you are fairly adept at flying, I urge you to move in successive steps, rather than jumping into the deep end of the pond right away....Fly in many attitudes (inverted, straight up, straight down, do cuban 8's, inverse 8's, spins, inverted spins etc.), in more than one type of airplane, and fly with a purpose.
That being said, there is some support to the notion that you don't gain unless you take some risk.
