I crank mine like this , 5 turns of the prop with choke on and throttle wide open ignition off. Then 2 flips same settings. Then turn on the ignition and open the choke and back to an idle setting and flip prop. It almost always starts on the first flip. After it is warm i always turn the choke on and wide open throttle and no ignition and turn the motor over 2 or 3 times. Then back to an idle and open choke and turn on the iginition. One flip and it is usually running. That is what works for mine. My 50 also starts the same way.
