Gary, I would think mother nature loves you! Imagine what could have happened if that hinge had broken after you had taken off, likely some damage at least. And the other plane came down safely too. So by my account a very lucky day indeed!

I havent had any problems with the CA hinges so far. I am thinking if maybe some brand of CA may react with the hinge material and others may not. If this is the case then it may be the smart thing to change all of them or at least pull on them hard just to make sure.

Your Edge looks awesome. I learned that a small amount of STP vinyl protector spray really works well to preserve the finish. But only after the cowl decals or any other trims are applied, the STP will prevent any adhesive from sticking to the surface.
