Be very careful to get all the sand out of the engine. Obviously sand in the engine will chew it up badly.
Wanted to stress this fact too! Make real sure you have the sand out of it!!!!!! A few grains of sand in the carb and the engine will be toast fairly quickly. Clean it good! Sounds like you did pretty well other than the landing. Keep the rubber side down! [8D]
