the box is made by "MasterCart" I picked it up at Lowes.

I saw the stanley boxes with the rotating parts bin and canvas bag on the front at wal-mart and went over to lowes to see what they had instead.

the fan is to vent any flammable vapors from the bottom of the box, and there are some holes drilled in the bottom to drain any possible misshaps. The battery is actually vented via a piece of automtoive fuel hose to the exterior of the box, which isn't shown in the pic because I didn't have a drill bit large enough at home for the hose to fit though. I think most atv/motorcycle batteries are setup with that vent system. I made those modifications after reading an article reguarding a plastic field box that had exploded causing injury to a spotter who was trying to move it off the flight line.

I have since secured the battery by riveting some pieces of angle-aluminum to the bottom of the box and I added some truck cap mounting tape to provide a snug fit.
