Whichever option you choose, make sure you keep it away from all moving parts (prop, clutch) and from any heat source, otherwise you could be swimming for your boat. [>:]

Depending on the size, a flag off the bow would be sharp, or one off the transom in the middle, like the old Chris Crafts....
