RE: JR8103, GY401, RaptorV2 30 setup/config
I have the same setup with a Raptor 50 V2, which I suggest over the 30 but it's your call of course. I found that between the manual and raptortechnique.com that I only had to alter the pitch curve and throttle curve a little bit to get the heli flying very well after assembly. I will tell you, however, it all depends on how well you setup the heli mechanically. Take your time and get the pushrods just right. I spent many hours getting the pushrods right and it paid off at the field.
I can get you my radio settings, but not until tonight. I don't have them with me right now. Mine will not be perfect for your heli anyway. Maybe close, but using the settings at Raptortechnique.com and the TT manual will get you just as close. The settings have to be fine tuned a bit when you first fly a new heli. Mind you they only need to be adjusted just a bit if you set it up properly. All mine required was to adjust the pitch and throttle curves a bit to get the head speed up from 1370 rpm to 1500 rpm.
BTW, if you got digital servos for your heli you will have to a PCM Rx from JR. I had the R700 and it would not work with the 811 digital servos. JR swapped the R700 with a 649 PCM. The R700 can’t handle the feedback from the digital servos and the servos end up jittering all over the place.
